Acupuncture for Tinnitus relief does it help or another blind alley.

Has anyone tried this approach to relieving symptoms of Tinnitus. Mine has been with me 10 years worsened e years ago and further still 3 months ago. Right sided.

I had a course of acupuncture , it did absolutely zero as regards my T,,however my anxiety at this time was literally through the roof, it did help in that area, a waste of £50-00??? Arguably not.

I would say that if you view most complementary therapies as being targeted treatments for tinnitus, it is likely that you will be disappointed. If you view something as a way to help you relax and shift your focus away from tinnitus for a while, that's a reasonable goal to aim for.

If the message we take away from acupuncture, aromatherapy, meditation or other complementary therapies is that they help us to relax (and that our tinnitus improves as a result), then perhaps the cost of one session can set us on the path to seeing relaxation as a valid way to manage tinnitus.
