Ringing when silent

hi my friend im 17 and i have tinnitus too.you should visit doctor and they would do some expirements there is no definite cure for tinnitus but we can control it
I hope so, I have been to the doctors about my hearing because I applied for the army but my hearing didn’t pass and they mentioned something about hearing loss so they booked me too see an ENT but I never mentioned about the ringing mainly because I don’t really tell people things it’s just something I’m not comfortable with really.
This sounds like you are on the right path then. I'm afraid they might not have any definitive answers as there is no cure.
For the long term protect your ears. Invest in some good earplugs to take with you to discos (or whatever you call them these days :)) Alpine earplugs are good.
All the best
Hi, I agree with others that you should protect your ears when at concerts , clubs ,parties etc. Alpine ears plugs are good because they are difficult to spot when you wear them and it allows you to listen to the music and talk to people. If you cant sleep then try listening to a sleep sounds app.
Hi,
Sorry to hear about your suffering, I have high pitched tinnitus ringing in my ear and I use a white noise app (white noise lite) at night and this really helps my tinnitus at night. I either set it to the sound of waves and think about holidays I have been on which helps some level of habituation or I use heavy rain, hose sprinkler or pink noise which maps well to my tinnitus (I don't try and drown it out) and allows me to fall asleep. Good Luck
