Search for possible causes

I recently started experiencing T recently as a constant high-pitched whine in my left ear. As a new sufferer I'm trying to learn about the possible causes.

Has anybody heard of possible links to microwave radiation? I only ask as my T started at pretty much the same time as EE turned on their 5G service in my area. I got a little out of my depth while researching but an interesting theory I found was that microwaves react with hydrogen and oxygen molecules near the skin surface, effectively boiling away any water, including at the base of the auditory hairs. Is this a wild goose chase?

I'm not on any new meds, not feeling particularly stressed or anxious, and I know our environment is a bit quieter while on lockdown but I don't feel this is the cause. Would love to learn more about this.

Hi there. I think we all try to see what started it off and go through everything we did leading up to it starting. I had not long had a camera down to investigate reflux. They brought me round very quickly and I was being driven home before I was fully awake it seemed? I seemed fine at first but then I went on to a stressful few weeks and it started quite at first but now hear it all the time. I keep thinking it will just go. I have noticed when I am happy and busy with friends and family I don't notice it. Also being online for long periods seems to rank it up. I have it in my left ear with up and down levels and some odd noises mixed in. I have found that if I crackle a bag near the ear it stops it for awhile. Like an inner bag from a cereal packet.
