New to this site.: Hi. I have been diagnosed... - Tinnitus UK
New to this site.
I would imagine it depends on what area you in ,as it can vary.
Depends where you are I think, I waited 6 weeks, a friend of mine waited 9. Hope you get the appointment soon :0)
Thanks I live in greater Manchester will give it a couple of more weeks as we have had Christmas holidays inbetween. Having hearing test and now. Then I will ring them up.
When are you having your hearing test?
Had my hearing test 10 weeks ago. They told me i eould have a few appointments coming. For MRI scan hearing aids and tinnitus nurse not heard anything since. Caz
Chase them up, I was losing patience waiting for a hearing aid appointment so rang to see if there was any news and it turned out the ent secretary hadn't sent the email to audiology so they didn't even have me on their system, its worth pushing, good luck 🤞
10 weeks is a long time, if they've told you yoh need hearing aids you should be getting an appointment soon, chase them up cause its crazy it's being left this long, I waited 2 weeks after my test.
What level loss do you have?
Not sure doctor showed me the hearing test chart. Told me I had certaian tones i could not hear and had flat lines on both ears which could mean i have a acoustic neuroma. Need an mri and hearing aids also the tinnitus. Of work next week so will ring them. Caz
Phoned up ENT this morning. The specialist did not send over my paperwork to the other departments it has now been sent over at 11am this morning. Got to wait some more. Caz
Oh that's really not on when that happens, terrible they leave people waiting but not doing their job. Hope you don't have to wait to much longer.
