Hi, it will go away I get this regularly were you get a high pitch noise for a few minutes, two weeks ago I got one that lasted over a hour but did subside back to original tone.has yours calmed down now?are you a anxious person?

Gosh I get that too .... and it does subside but I really panic for as long as it lasts and am so glad when it passes and I am left with the 'usual' loudly hissing head. An audiologist told me that it was caused by fluid in the hearing system - whatever that means. Soldiering on!

Unfortunately nothing suggested - we just have to have patience and keep out of quiet places when all head noise can be engulfing. Cheers!

Thank goodness we have each other on this site!

I’ve been off work fro 6 months going to half pay!

Stress of tinnitus and financial insecurity.

Prescribed meds for crisis intervention.

We will get through this horrid condition!!

I’ve been diagnosed for a year. It’s evolved into a persistent hissing that changes in volume to a sound similar to a head full of crickets,

I grade it from one to ten. 7.30sm it’s at 5.

Like you I used to pay attention to time spans but it had got a little more manageable. It’s new territory to me but as with other big challenges in my life I have climbed over them with the right support.....I intend to do the same with this! Hope you join me 😁
