Tympanoplasty type 3 op done June 18. After nearly 10 months, still major complications.... i) stiff face, ii) constant burning & weeping from eye, iii) slurred speech, iv) metallic taste, v) tongue still numb, vi) ear still numb, vii) and the worst is the controlled hammering noise from inside of inner ear (every time the eye is blinked or facial muscles used the hammering noise comes on).Saw ENT specialist, said the facial nerve has been damaged and hence the symptoms is STAPEDIAL MYOCLONUS and SYNKINESIS.
