Hello everyone,
I started getting tinnitus in my left ear about 7 months ago. I saw a GP, I had impacted earwax so a nurse removed it about a month later. The tinnitus didn't go away so I saw another GP who referred me to an ENT who sent to see an Audiologist for a hearing test and for an MRI that I got about a month ago. The hearing test went fine and the Audiologist said that my hearing is in a normal range. I received a letter in the mail today inviting me to see the ENT again on the 12th of June.
I'm a 24-year old male and I feel overall very healthy without any balance issues. I'm really worried that I have been invited back to see the EMT because it is something serious such as acoustic neuroma. I think the EMT said that if it isn't serious then he wouldn't invite me back.
Is it common practice for EMT's to see their patients about MRI's even if they are not serious? Other than Acoustic Neuroma is there any other reason that he might want to see me again?
Thankyou
