I see the BTA are promoting their Tinnitus Week which encourages people to visit their website, call their 24 hour helpline etc All very well and good but doesn't truly effect any change in the tinnitus sufferers battle

Hi Brett, I have read quite a few posts recently expressing dissapointment with the BTA on lak of updates so I was pleased to receive this email from TinnitusTalk.com. In my opinion this is the sort of exchange we all want.

We interviewed Dr. Rauschecker, one of the most eminent tinnitus researchers. And Tinnitus Week is knocking on the door!

Tinnitus Talk Podcast!

We are extremely proud to be launching our new podcast series, under the same name as our forum: Tinnitus Talk.

Tinnitus Talk is a podcast on all things tinnitus. We aim to engage and inform you, bringing you fresh insights and updates on research, treatments, personal experiences and public awareness.

For our first episode, we interviewed Dr. Josef Rauschecker, one of the most eminent tinnitus researchers. We talked about how his own tinnitus has informed his research, his theories on tinnitus brain mechanisms, the dire lack of funding for cure focused research, and the role that patient organisations can play.

If you enjoy this podcast, please share it on your social media and/or rate us on iTunes/your podcast app!

LISTEN TO OUR PODCAST

TIP: You can also find the podcast on Apple Podcasts and other podcast apps by searching for Tinnitus Talk. Plus, a transcript of the episode will follow in the coming week.

Tinnitus Week is coming up soon, from 4 to 10 February! We (Tinnitus Hub, the non-profit behind Tinnitus Talk) have worked very hard preparing for this week along with American and British Tinnitus Associations as well as Tinnitus Research Initiative.

Curious what’s happening? You can find it all on the dedicated Tinnitus Week website.

If you can spare a few minutes (or hours) during the week, a great way to help raise awareness for tinnitus would be to follow our social media accounts and share our campaign content; we will release new content every day of the week!
