Some mornings I wake up and I don’t immediately notice my tinnitus. Other times it’s absolutely howling at me. I asked at the clinic as I thought it was due to a bad neck and depended on whether I had slept in an awkward position as I do tend to nod off in uncomfortable positions. They said it was probably due to blood flow but didn’t elaborate and I don’t really understand why this could affect the severity on a day to day basis. Thanks

Hello and welcome to the British Tinnitus Association forum. Do feel free to ask any questions, I hope that you find this a helpful and supportive place to help you manage your tinnitus.
Tinnitus can be affected by changes in blood flow to the ears, or pain or damage in the neck. I think if we knew exactly why, it would help solve some of the mysteries of the condition!
