Going crazy

I have suffered with T for 9 months now and sometimes I get episodes where the noise isn’t just inside my head it seems to fly around the room to.i feel like i’m Going crazy .does anyone else get this

Firstly your not going crazy & yes tinnitus changes...

37 years in I still do a lot of mindfulness & go to Cbt therapy to distance myself from it.... works really well I’ve habituated loads of times but it does change & I start again..

Get where your crazy feelings are coming from but your not it’s anxiety making that feel real...

I’d say go to a Cbt therapist & learn to let tinnitus be tinnitus & remove emotions attached it’s a great help, mindfulness too..

Oh & im a total stress head in normal day to day work life not a hippie still I get into the Cbt mindfulness thing, my tinnitus is louder than my car, I just let it be... hope this helps

Yes, i think its more when u panic. I do that too. Have u got and Rescue Remedy ? Its herbal from the chemist but is brilliant for calmingyou down. Hxx

Hi Molllyanna , I totally understand where you come from .. when I first got Tinnitus I also thought I was going crazy and became very socially isolated, preferring just to stay at home ( and feel sorry for myself! ) .. I’ve had it for 3 years now ,,,along with pain. You are not going crazy, and as Marc said try to keep busy and the mindfulness. I tried mindfulness, it didn’t work for me , perhaps try something that you enjoy doing. I’ve investigated every so called cure ... but there is nothing as yet. I dream of the day when there is ..... good luck, hang in there !

Mine also flits about inside my head and at times mainly in my left ear it's awful but I am hopeful it will go.

I have had mine since May so five months now.

I think mine is due to derangement of my Jaw as I had double orgnanthic surgery three years ago.

Now my Jaw clicks and crunches and gives me pain around my right ear mainly but also sometimes around my left.

I believe the human body has a great capacity to heal itself.

If the body can fight cancer and other nasty stuff it can get shot of tinnitus which is nothing in comparison in that it is a symptom of something else going on.

Diet, exercise, sunshine, and get as much rest as possible and eventually the tinnitus will be obliterated.

Yes, your brain is experimenting in its effort to find the missing frequencies. Do you have hyperacusis?

I have tinnitus that changes forms too. I have ringing, roaring and swooshing at times. When I am stressed or anxious about something the noise is so loud I can't concentrate on anything else and I am deaf. I have taken up deep breathing and mediation to help relieve my symptoms. I know that a lot of people mask the sound of their tinnitus that might help you. There are tinnitus apps that you can download. Have you been to the doctor (audiologist) ? One reason you could be having tinnitus is because you have a hearing loss of some kind.

Yes I know the feeling too that I am going crazy. Always due to stress, or bad sleep. I tell myself that I have been there many times and that tinnitus again will be reduced. I have one of these days today !! When tinnitus is loud , you will get irritated and panic, and tinnitus loves that. Argh.....

Yes understand I'm 9 months in waiting for MRI results which is taking too long (4)weeks. Started in left ear now at the state where it's screaming high pitched in my head and now the right ear has started to click .
