Ear pressure

Hi, I'm getting alot of ear pressure in right ear.really annoying, it's in same ear as I get tonal noise but only hear this sound in quiet but is bad.i have had both with ear popping all the time for years and had it checked by e.n.t and they done a pressure test and said nothing wrong but surely it can't be natural to have your ear popping all the time and pressure now aswel?

No I never used drops.only thing I can think of is hayfever is contributing to this.it might just be hyperacusis causing this I don't know. Everything driving me mad at the minute

A feeling of fullness in the ear is not uncommon with tinnitus. It is often a mystery why this is - there's a school of thought it's a phantom sensation - like tinnitus - which of course doesn't mean it's any less real, or any less of a bother!

Hi nic,it is so annoying. I have bad hayfever at the moment and don't think that is helping either.i'v had a popping, crackling noise in my ears for years and had tests done in hospital before and they say there OK but how can this be when these noises aren't natural

But the noises are natural - they are generated by your auditory system. Tinnitus can take many forms - crackling and popping isn't unusual.

The hayfever could well be contributing at the moment, as everything will be more congested. Antihistamines will help, but I think given the weather forecast, pollen counts are likely to be high for a while.

Yes pollen levels are to be high for next 2 weeks.i'v had that crackling sound now for a long time when I swallow. I always thought it was a eustation tube problem but pressure tests have been grand nut there's no way that's natural.
