Just picked up my new aids for a trial run a bit smaller the the nhs ones but much more comfortable and they have a setting for T suffering. Like a white noise setting but not cheap though around £1800 you can get them on pay later or DD. I’m pleased to say I’ve got T really loud so I’ll let you all know how I get on. Cheers guys

Have you had NHS aids previously? Be interested to hear from you whether there's any noticeable difference with your new little fellas.
How you getting on with the hearing aids consideting getting some aids for masking as I don’t have any hearing loss, best
Hi the audiologist says I cannot pick up on high pitched noise so I have them for that. So not sure about if you have no hearing problems but the private ones are a hell of a lot better than The NHS plus they have a setting for T like white noise and so on I’ve had them for a week now and I was willing to pay the £1800 but unfortunately I can’t afford them I even tried DD but not got no credit history so I’m really disappointed but it’s back to The NHS ones I’m afraid sorry I cannot write anymore as the keys are covering what I’m waiting when I use this app but the answer is yes go to your local Amplifon they are quite good the number is 08009227905for a free trial
All NHS aids are digital (electronic?) these days, so there shouldn't be much difference - regardless of what Amplifon might try to sell you. The key word there is 'sell' - they're not going to tell you the NHS ones are just as good as theirs, are they?
I have a (small BTE) NHS hearing aid that has a T setting. It plays a white noise, but I can also use that setting to play any distraction noise through the aid from my iPhone. This was a welcome upgrade from my standard NHS aid and wouldn’t be without it.
