I’m considering writing an App for iPhone

As I’m an Apple app developer I’m thinking about an app which plays white noise for one ear and music for the other. Instead of music it could be an audio book.

Note that I’m Apple only so won’t be doing Android.

Any suggestions which are practical I’m happy to look into.

It will be totally free, no adverts.

(Mostly I use white noise in one ear and have ended up with two devices so I can listen to music or a story in another)

Seems to me that it would be worth a try. Here's a few suggestions ..

1. Option to switch left and right channels - ie you can choose which side to have the white noise playing.

2. Control the volume of each channel independently of the other.

3. Have the app display a warning when you set the volume above a certain level.

4. Options for brown or pink noise as well as white.

5. Maybe an option for a nature sound (rain, sea etc) instead of the white noise.

Good luck with it.

All great points. Re the sounds I need to generate them myself so I don’t get copyright issues so I need to investigate brown etc
