Hi, Lesley,

My tinnitus has been the same as yours this week but at least we can still enjoy the food and drink and the company. Best wishes for 2018.

Respectfully submitted,

Keoni

Hi Nic,

Happy new year to you and your family.

Just thought Id give you an up date on my work related issues.

To date my clinical manager and i have not had our meeting. Its just been so busy that things like this have been put on the back burner however she did have a look at the info you sent us but none of it really applys to how they can help me in my role. Things have got better though and Im now working back in gynae theatre and being in one place seems to help so some good has come out of it. Though i am expected to work in other specialities if the need arises, but its not so frequent. I still think that more guideance needs to be written for employers that actual relate to how they can support people with tinnitus in the work place. Maybe this is one project that could be put forward to the BTA to do.

Thanks

Lesley

Hi Lesley

Yes, that's a good idea. Could you send it to me as an email (nic@tinnitus.org.uk) so I can record it and then take it to the powers that be? I'm currently writing advice for parents, have written advice for teachers, so I'm sure something can be done!

Hi Angela, I hope you had a lovely christmas with your family and had a plesant NYE.

We all had a great christmas and my niece and nephew were the stars of christmas.

My brother and his wife brought me a years subscription to the ramblers and Ive been in touch with the local group and decided which walk I will be starting with. Many of them cover areas Ive already done but i expect they'll be different routes so will get to see other things. It will do me a lot of good to get out and about more especially after the over indulgence of christmas.

Needless to say though, that Mr T isnt behaving himself at the moment despite having had a relaxing 10 day break from work. Only had one quiet day the whole time but thats just the nature of this beast. Probably not doing much hasnt helped but overall I feel much better from resting. Im sure it'll get back on an even keel sooner or later.

Hope you survived storm eleanor. It was very windy last night and we've had a few fence panels blown over but our landlord is sorting this out.

I wish you good health and good fortune for the coming 2018.

Love Lesley x

Thank you Lesley, yes a lovely family Xmas with son and daughter - extended family too for a whole day of talking and eating. New year was spent with my bloke - always a quiet time for us.

How nice to have that subscription, I know from reading your posts how you enjoy your rambling xx

As for my T, well I had a good few weeks, including Xmas but during the new year it has become bothersome again. It is so horrible isn’t it as however much we try to get the better of it, it comes back to annoy us. At least you have had a relaxing break from work so you are better able to deal with the beast.

My good wishes for you in 2018 and I look forward to hearing about your rambles. Ps Shropshire escaped the worst of the storm but this afternoon - Friday - I have come to pick up my nephew from school and my car is being blown about! Take care everyone out there

Love and best

Angela xx
