Own it and beat it

So I have my ENT referral after four months of living with constant high pitched T. I've already had an initial hearing test and been diagnosed so hopefully this will offer the further support that I probably need. The sound oasis 650 has worked wonders. It's so much more beneficial the using a Bluetooth speaker with your own sounds. I've no idea why, it just is. On top of that my partner and I are finding that we are both sleeping a lot better.

I've got to the stage now where I'm at peace in living with this. It's not going to win, it can scream all it wants because I'm owning it now, It's my tinnitus and it will do as its damn well told.

Tonight is especially a bad raging night of T. However, I'm sat here with a glass of vino and it's going hell for leather. I've decided that I want to enjoy the taste of my wine than worry about what's going on in my head. That's what I do all time I apply it to every situation I'm

In. There is always something better and more important to concentrate on. And it's working. Don't let it beat you. Beat it. :)

Well done Steve

Beer or wine relaxes my stress level. Once I get into a good conversation 't' dissipates and at times completely disappears. The second I start to think about it it slowly reappears. It's bloody hard not to BUT stress is the 'T's volume dial.

I'm sorry to hear this. For me, at night in bed is where I hear it most. I can only say that sound therapy has helped in that regard. As of yet the T has not massively affected my sleep. it's there, it's always there. My brain just seems to switch off when I go to bed. I do find sometimes that it's what wakes me up in the morning however. I hope you find a solution that works for you. I'm sure you will. Hang in there mate :)

Really pleased for you, Like drumcraw i cant sleep with mine its raging 24/7 mine is due to TMJD or so the maxillofacial clinic told me, Got hearing aid few weeks ago my ear has been infected for the past few days Audiology said stop using it great so now very limited hearing in ear.

Hi Steve, that is indeed good news, and after a relatively short time with it. Keep on with the distractions and being positive - tinnitus loves negativity - and you will beat it! Angela xx
