My favourite sound - love the sound of the sea

in reply to Lynne-H

Hey Lynne me too love the sound of the sea hypnotic perhaps, it helps alot to know what others are listening too perhaps a change of tune might help .. i used to live near the sea - november was wave time at night .. slept like a log lol .. sea gets my vote too ..

I love the sound of the sea as well. Also like rain sounds. I do wonder why all the apps you get seem to include storm sounds with thunder. Surely that would keep you awake all night lol.

Interesting point there John, you see i have an issue a simple one but here it is i wondered if anyone else picked it up but i have never round an app or you tube track with Tinnitus on it that works, they all look cool in their design and stuff but not one and there are hundreds work for me but ocean sounds rain or thunder seem to block out the hum, why i would like to know but cant see to find the correct answer.

Yes, I love the sounds of nature. Wind rustling in the trees. Just being in the fresh air quietens T. Love

Nice to read your positive posts Dean - you seem in a much better state of mind than I was at the onset of T. It's a lovely sunny day here and the weekend forecast is good. I would be extra happy in any event as it is Mothering Sunday and my son and daughter will be with me. Angela xx

.. working from home today so easier to reply, but thats an interesting thought about how you approach this situation, i have my moments for sure main catalyst was not being around people who understand and care to question or reply, but perhaps its easier not to give in to it - (and worse things happen to others for sure), would say managing to sleep more after 3 months is a plus - but hey Happy Mothers day for you right and with family now thats really awesome too. But all things aside i do get fed up with listening to the sound of the ocean all the time lol .. but it works to lessen the T so thats another plus Dean x

Pink noise and then 60 minutes of sea surf helps me get into the land of nod quicker than trying to nod off without my sound generator.

in reply to starshine53

Now you see pink noise - off to google it (i missed ur reply btw apologies for that) but i have found one track that solves this little dilema and its really helped me loads, it masks out the buzzing hum noise and i can play it at a low level on speakers which means free to move around the room here we go heres a link but i guess different things help different people with different sounds .. youtube.com/watch?v=gpvznAi...

I listen to chirping crickets from the white noise app on my phone if my T is louder in the evenings but to go to sleep i use the sound of rain from my oasis sound generator. Ocean surf is also quite soothing but i find its not constant enough. Lesley x

in reply to Lesley2065

Its interesting Lesley how you say if your T is louder in the Evenings, i find that alot too but alas no answer to why? any ideas..going to try some crickets see how it goes , i guess if we were in Asia and i said that it would probably be an afternoon snack lol ..
