A question about Tinnitus.

Hi everyone.

It seems as though my tinnitus has developed some other characteristics over the past week or so. I am experiencing discomfort in my ears bordering on pain in certain situations. Is this to be expected or something i should be worried about ? I am rather anxious as its yet another symptom I'm having to deal with & understand

Any info / advice would be most welcome.

Thanks

Hi Andy.

You can get pressure pain but any ear pain should be checked out for infection or wax if it doesn't go....lots of love glynis

i had similar would say pressure pain, but short and sharp usually above the ear kinda like an ouch what was that moment, but it passes - recently having been through this i must say the amount of stress ur under is just incredible and with a small positive result here and there like the ENT dept i went to yesterday just reminds you that there are ways and indeed people out there that can help you .. when your stressed the mind can play tricks on you and even a normal small problem can sometimes seem exagerated because of the stress and environment but i have learnt if it bothers you then get it checked as the NHS is still a great system to be able to reach out too ..Dean

Hi Andy

I'd go and get it checked out just to make sure there's nothing physical causing a problem.

However, if you're anxious, make sure your neck and jaw are relaxed - tension in these areas can cause pain - and aggravate tinnitus.

Not what you're looking for?
