Coincidence? Xmas over tinnitus lessened.

Hi Folks i don't know if this happens to you ? i am convinced the stress leading up to Xmas will push my tinnitus up now Xmas is over today my tinnitus has reduced apart from xmas eve when i hardly heard my T all over Xmas my Tinnitus was noticeable that's why i dislike the festive season. David

Christmas can be very stressful and can cause tinnitus to increase - hence we opened up our helplines during the festive period. But you do have to be careful that you don't set up a self-fulfilling prophecy by thinking that your tinnitus gets worse over Christmas - if you think that, you might just be checking it more, and hence noticing it more. Easily done, but it's a bad habit :)
