Hi am a newbie I had total removal of thyroid gland 21 yrs ago an take 250mg of levo this was down

from 300mg now blood tests show my dose is too much is it my age 45 I am tired and restless anyone had this x

My results are TSH level 0.05 (0.4-4.5 ) T4 level 22.5 (8.0-21.00) serum free 5.7 (2.5-6.5

have been on lenvo 200mcg for 18yrs Gp says am overtreated am 45yrs with TT Want will he put me on now Thanks x

Wow, that seems like a lot ! I had a TT 18 months ago, but I only take 100, but yes I do get the tired and restless thing. Do you get any other symptoms? How did you feel on 300mcg? I am 49 and I often wonder if age does anything to how we feel without a thyroid.

Hi The last 18yrs was on 300mcg I was fine then started to get heart flutters heart was checked everything great Dr put it to Lenvo so put on 250mcgs was ok til the last 6 weeks sudden onset of sleeping all the time tired and depressed just waiting on my GP Appt

Hi I had a TT 33 years ago and was on300 for 20+ years. I felt OK but had periods of being hypo It was reduced to 200 and since then I have felt awful. Best you post your blood results.

sorry gedpolar, I suppose in this forum it mean hypothyroid,so being under-medicated.

Before the TSH blood test came in the usual dose was between 200 and 400mcg.

If you can get a print-out of your blood test results and post here, complete with the ranges, someone will comment.

Blood tests are not worth the paper they are written on, they were invented to sup[port the use of levothyroxine and have never been amended. Go on how you feel not on the numbers!!
