Hi

Diagnosed with Hypothyroid - Hashimoto's back in Nov 2011.

Haven't improved in that time whilst on Levothyroxine. So we decided to go private (with one of the 'recommended practitioners' from info gained on this site). After my first appt it was thought that amalgam may have been a problem due to my five fillings, however the test results don't show toxic levels. The results did show however, high levels of antimony, so a course of chelation has been recommended. Has anyone had treatment for this, or undergone a course of chelation and felt better for it. It's going to be incredibly expensive and it's a very grey area....

Do you have any reason to suspect that you have been exposed to significant levels of antimony?

The Wiki article on antimony identifies many of its uses, effects, etc.

I don't know where the antimony came from. The specialist that I'm seeing will provide the chelation on their premises.
