Hi Well high BP may be lots of reasons. If only the doctor measured it , do not accept tablets without a 24 hour home monitor, GP can arrange that. If you have a monitor your self, make sure it is a good make and tested, and an arm one not wrist, then take the BP, pressure of blood flowing through the arteries form and to the heart,(venous) First called systolic and second being dyastolic. if the top figure is more than 140 that is a little high, if bottom figure 70 or less that is normally fine. More common for the top figure to be the only one that matters, unless serious heart conditions , which you would certainly know about. If you do your own , make sure arm straight on a table and that you have sat down for 10mins first, 3 times a day if you think you may have a problem. A doctors reading is often false, called "white coat syndrome"means you are nervous. Generally high BP am is a medical problem but high PM is normally just the stress of living It can be Too much salt ( sodium) , which is measured in kidney function tests (called U`s and E`s) may cause it. Your sodium should be just in range not very high.Even kidney disease but this is not the first symptoms,

Iron/ferritin, totally unconnected, it is the red blood in the body. It does make you tired and if very bad, other symptoms. If low the GP will give you , Ferrous sulphate tablets( iron) to take with meals. It works very well, re test after 6 months to check the level, then annually, You take them for life. If GP not treating, probably means they think it is not very low, just under range. If not check with GP. Then if so, take Spatone Holland and Barrattt sachets as per instruction or cheaper on Amazon.

If this not totally clear, get back to me, click on "reply to this ",under my post.

Oh yes, high BP may sometimes be under treated thyroid disease or Hyper, usually then improves with treatment for thyroid.Make sure you have your cholesterol tested, as same applies.

Best wishes,

Jackie

Low iron makes the red blood cells smaller, heart has to work harder pushing them through the system, hence higher blood pressure. Iron tablets will sort it out usually, but can also make you constipated. I find bananas help, but that maybe because I like bananas!
