Zapain capsules must be used with caution in patients with increases intracranial pressure, acute abdominal conditions, the elderly, the debilitated, impaired hepatic or renal function, hypothyroidism, Addison's disease, prostatic hypertrophy, and urethral stricture.(See also “Contraindications”. Note particularly that Zapain is contraindicated in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment.)
I am not sure how to interpret that in the context of someone taking anti-thyroid medicines which could make thyroid hormone levels drop to levels usually found in people who are hypothyroid.
I do understand why you would want to take some.
Are you able to contact any professional who might be able to provide advice? E.g. your GP or pharmacist? Maybe they won't know any more than as above but it is possible they have experience.
Hi I dont know but I do know that overactives should not take Beechams flu all in one stuff and similar or most antihistamines without GP consent. Ask the chemists to make sure.
