Lol I wish I had haven't had a libido for a good while mond u I'm in the menapause to so there are reasons why
Just catching this thread and wondered if your libido improved as you went through the menopause. Mine improved quite a lot for about two years then disappeared again. Almost twenty years ago now and mine is quite good. Dryness can be a slight problem but there are plenty of lubricants around. Progesterone gel made me itch!
Have any of you had your testosterone levels tested? (Being low on thyroid and perhaps other hormones) could mean that your levels for that are low as well.

Hi Sparrow,
Have you tried testosterone? I have used testosterone cream, with amazing results, and I mean amazing! It is obviously what we need! If it works on me, which it has, it will work on anyone!
BUT it has messed up my thyroid meds, I know this 100%. Which one do you choose?
What I mean is, do you want a healthy libido, which is very possible with this cream, OR a messed up thyroid, after being stable for a while. I think I am going to order some more cream!
Lol! No, I haven't tried the testosterone.... It is there as an option when/if I need it. I have had my levels tested and I was on the low end of the scale (0.9 on a ref range of 0.7-2.8) but I've not yet had any real issues with lack of libido. (I'm 43 and haven't yet had to deal with perimenopause, etc. though...)
I always had low libido, even in my 20.s and married, dont know why. maybe back then i had hormone issues as well( rather have a mars bar) x ( only kidding, wish I had the desire) x
Testosterone does affect the Thyroid hormone conversion process.
I wonder if it's natures way of limiting low hormone function people reproducing while things are out of kilter.
Poor iodine levels during pregnancy has a critical effect on the baby's life chances.
A clear case of the 'use it or lose it scenario' where being out of a healthy physical relationship can lead to many 'run down of facilities' symptoms.
