Taking tablets before Blood test.

Hi everyone, Can any one tell me how long to leave taking your tablets before going for a thyroid blood. test

As you know, I take mine at bed-time. So I defer my bed-time dose until after the blood test in the morning - at as near 08:00 as I can manage. Then take it.

For that day, I ignore that breakfast might interfere with it. And I take another dose that night.

This might not work for everyone (e.g. they might find too much of a drop in levels) - but seems OK for me.

As I am on a ultra-high dose of T3 (not really ultra high but many doctors or GP would say so HAHAHAHA at 160mcg daily) I make sure not to take any T3 for 24 hours minimum

I take mine in the mornings so I treat the test as a fasting test and take my levo as soon as I can after the blood test....I also make sure I always get as early an appointment as humanly possible

I take mine when I wake up in the morning, letting the tablets dissolve under my tongue which means they are immediately absorbed, rather than swallowing them whole, and then having a cup of tea. But when I have a blood test, I take them afterwards instead!
