According to the British Thyroid Assoc. then TSH and T4 results will fluctuate, more so T4 which can vary throughout the day according to when a person takes their meds and how active their thyroid is being.

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's 11 months ago and will do my fourth test next week. My results have been different each time but my TSH was at about 6.0 at Christmas dropping down from 12.37 when first diagnosed (T4 was 14.3 when first tested).

Lindsay, I think it's unusual to see that much fluctuation. It can trend upward while not using medication but usually trends downward once you begin on NDT or T4. Did something happen when you shot up to 3.2? Do you have your blood taken at very different times of day when taking the tests? That might bring a different result as early morning would show higher TSH. Do you take your meds haphazardly or try different doses or different products? Thyroxine might not be converting fully to T3 and might change your TSH numbers. Maybe others could shed light on this if your adrenals might be involved in this somehow.

I hope you are taking Vitamin D3 supplements.
