Eat small amounts, as often as you can manage, certainly I wouldn't say force a large meal on yourself, all you'll do is make yourself sick, try to stick to light things, soups or yoghurts, it wont do you any harm so long as its reasonably healthy stuff you eat. It can be common to lose your appetite when on Levo. Just don't allow yourself to eat nothing

Thanks for your reply but you would think if you dont eat much you would lose some weight, like thats going to happen the minute you eat your stomach bloats out you cant win.

Hi, I seem to go through phases of no appetite. I am on 100mcg of Levothyroxine. I do get bloating also if I try to eat a large meal or force myself to eat knowing that I must. I have recently lost nearly a stone in weight due to my poor appetite but I have found that if I look back (I was diagnosed just over 2 years ago) it is always during the Winter time when my appetite is poor and durng the summer time I eat twice as much so I have put it down to being a seasonal thing rather than the meds. I know we should eat little and often but that is easier said than done when you just done want it. I do drink plenty of water and have a sugary drink also to ensure energy levels dont fall too sharply during the daytime if I am not having food, but that is just a personal thing for me and not a recommendation. Try to take some supplements and get your folates/B12 etc checked as you dont want to become anaemic due to your poor appetite.

Best wishes

Ann
