It's another TLA. :-)

Thanks In Advance.

Perhaps we need a "No text-speak and as few abbreviations as practical" guideline?

For anyone NOT in the know, TLA = Three Letter Abbreviation.

I'm presuming TIA = thanks in advance, or something similar.

I also suffer with sciatica and have read back problems and sciatica are thyroid related. I'm sure if you ask a GP they will say no, but for me I think it all ties in with other symptoms.

I don't know anything regarding armour so can't comment, but do you need either a increase or some adrenal supplements, I'm only guessing but recent reading by me pointed towards this.

What meds do you have for the sciatica? I was really bad at the beginning of 2010, pain was unbearable my then lovely dr prescribed amitriptaline which is an antidepressant but also helps with nerve pain. I don't know if it actually helped as pain was still present days after. I then had an MRI on my head for hearing related issue and the pain went 2 days later. An MRI had the same effect years earlier. Going back to the amitriptaline, I still take it as it helps with sleep, I don't think I would otherwise and my mood is definitely better.

Do you have any antinflammatorys? I started on napaxen but it did nothing for me other than help with period pain, I then switched to diclofenic which did help and does mask the achy muscles as well.

Hope you feel somewhat better soon. Sciatica pain is relentless when bad, slipped disks are a walk in the park in comparison.

Not sure about a connection with the thyroid, but I do know that my sciatica seems to set in during the winter months when I have been sitting around more. I am retired but this winter I have made sure I move around a lot more indoors, not sitting for more than an hour in the evening before getting up, fidgeting my legs a lot too, it seems to have helped as so far I have only had a twinge which is nothing compared to the pain that sciatica usually brings with it.

T3 was the only thing that helped when I had Sciatica, I think it is yet another symptom of being under medicated. Since starting T3 so many old aches and pains have melted away. Or maybe you need more T4. Hope you feel better soon.

Have your physician balance ALL of your hormones. And hGH to top it off

Find a Prolotherapist for residual pain (sciatica, etc). prolotherapy.com/
