This week my waking blood pressure has gone down to about 45/78. It is usually about 55 /85. I'm gradually working up my T3 dosage and am now on about 47.5 mcg. Does anyone have any idea why this change has occurred or any advice please?

Been taking T3 for a couple of months and my already low blood pressure has gone down this week.

Have a look at this link - scrol down to the "heart" heading for an explination.

The first number should be bigger than the second in a blood pressure reading!
Could you check and confirm what you meant, please?
Hi Waking BP can be low but your systolic BP is too low. Does it go up OK during the night. I now have low BP due to major heart problems and an ICD. However when I went on T3, ages ago, it did not effect my BP.Is your NA level normal ? you may need to have some salt, not too much because it is an electrolyte and can badly affect the heart if too high, just in range is ideal. Also I would ask for U`s and Es and magnesium, separate test and calcium to check all the electrolytes. All simple blood tests. if this does not work ask for a 24 hour BP monitor. When my heart kept stopping my BP was highish, on treatment for it.It does go low when n high AF and with various arrythmias. ( which I cannot spell! ) I hope this helps. Main thing is how it is the rest of the day.
