Hi I was getting a bit "lardy" and so I decided to do something about it so I spoke to a few women at work (someone is always on a diet lol!) and asked which one they felt had actually

worked. My friend said that she had joined Slimming World and so with a hefty dose of scepticism I joined. I thought it would be really hard to actually lose weight and I didn't think

that I would lose more than 1/2lb without major effort....1 stone 2lbs lighter in a few months and I've been amazed at how straightforward its been. I have a monster sweet tooth and thought I'd really struggle with the fact that I can't eat the contents of a sweet shop each night but I haven't!!!

Its an easy healthy eating plan which does seem to work and if you throw in a bit of exercise it will work for you.

Have a look and see and no I'm not a consultant for them lol!

hope you find this useful.

Thanks for the info everyone! I was particularly interested in someones post relating to Gary Taubes and how he advocates eating less of certain carbs i.e potatoes, grains etc and how a constant spike in insulin levels when consuming certain foods exhausts the body, immune system and liver.
