reduced medication
Explain this to your GP or try to see a different GP at your surgery. Your TSH needs to be under 1 and your Free T4 at the top of the range. If I reduce my medication then I cannot function. Hopefully you will not need to argue with your GP if it needs must then as him/her to refer to the Pulse April issue that they receive as Dr Toft answers questions regarding the correct dose. This is also mentioned in the little book that you can buy in Pharmacys.
Thank you for your post, I have given up on the doctors, who refuses to budge in treating me with anything other that Levothyroxine, I went to see an endo at the Northern gen, who told me to reduce my meds as there is nothing wrong with my endocrine system.....I beg to differ, I was feeling dreadful, forgetting things(still am) dizzy, headaches, moody, I can go on and on. I went back to see my doctor the day after I was discharged from the endo, who told me to' look at my home life',I have a child with special needs, he was practically blaming my childs disability for the way I am feeling-the nerve of it!My GP has referred me to a Professor whom I will be seeing in 3 weeks time. So hopefully he will be able to prescribe some thing to make me feel human again, watch this space...................
Is this a professor of Endocrinology? if you don't mind, send me a private message and tell me his name, two of the 4 Endo's that I have seen are professors and they were the worst to be honest!
