Has anyone else heard of these tablets. I am on 75mg Levothyroxine I am always given different makes a 50mg accord and now a 25mg Vencamil.

Lolaknit I have Vencamil. I used to have Accord. I am happy with Vencamil , especially as they have 25mcgm tablets and are free from lactose, mannitol and acacia powder. The acacia causes me problems and is found in Teva tablets.

Vencamil Levo is the preferred choice of many, as it’s lactose free and mannitol free.
If swapping brands doesn’t suit you, then you can always ask your GP to state the brand/s that suit you best on your prescription. My GP agreed to this after I had an adverse reaction to one brand.

many members find Vencamil by far the best option as it’s the ONLY brand that is lactose free, mannitol free
Assuming you get on well with it you could request all future prescriptions are Vencamil only
They make 25mcg, 50mcg and 100mcg tablets Which brand
Retest FULL thyroid - TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 6-8 weeks after any dose change or brand change in levothyroxine
ALWAYS test early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
Test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels at least once a year
Exactly what vitamin supplements are you taking

Government guidelines for GP in support of patients if you find it difficult/impossible to change brands
gov.uk/drug-safety-update/l...
If a patient reports persistent symptoms when switching between different levothyroxine tablet formulations, consider consistently prescribing a specific product known to be well tolerated by the patient.

Physicians should: 1) alert patients that preparations may be switched at the pharmacy; 2) encourage patients to ask to remain on the same preparation at every pharmacy refill; and 3) make sure patients understand the need to have their TSH retested and the potential for dosing readjusted every time their LT4 preparation is switched (18).
I was previously using Accord with the odd Teva thrown in. Last year I asked my GP to specify Vencamil on my prescription after being diagnosed with lactose intolerance. I have zero side effects and my stomach and digestive system are the best and happiest they have been for years.
Yes I was offered it as they gave me TEVA instead of accord I said no thanks to TEVA as it definitely was not working for me. 5 days in and things seem much better on Vencamil
