I can see a pattern in my diary that I start to have colder hands and feet and feel more sluggish around Feb - March. You would expect the slightly warmer UK weather would improve symptoms. However, I seem to get worse.
Do any other members feel worse in the spring?

When did you last retest thyroid and vitamin levels
What vitamin supplements are you taking
IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 5-7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results
In week before blood test, when you stop vitamin B complex, you might want to consider taking a separate folate supplement (eg Jarrow methyl folate 400mcg) and continue separate B12 if last test result serum B12 was below 500 or active B12 (private test) under 70:
I take a B complex vitamin daily which I couldn't do without.
Started taking a Vita Premium Vitamin D 4,000 IU Softgels. However, around this time the pharmacy gave me Mercury Pharma Levo and I was not myself. Stopped taking the D and got the pharmacy to change my Levo.
Feel much better on Almus/Accord Levo. May re-introduce the vitamin D.
Take my 100mcg Levo first thing an hour before food. Take B complex around 12 and was taking the D vitamins around 2pm.
Just the usual NHS once a year thyroid test as booked by my GP
I eat a very restrictive diet. No dairy, gluten free, no tea or coffee, no alcohol
As the weather has been getting warmer, I feel colder. Walking at pace is the only thing that seems to shift it.
Suggest you get TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 tested 2-3 months after being back on Accord
Essential to include testing Ft3
That means testing privately in U.K. most of the time
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
If you normally take levothyroxine at bedtime/in night ...adjust timings as follows prior to blood test
If testing Monday morning, delay Saturday evening dose levothyroxine until Sunday morning. Delay Sunday evening dose levothyroxine until after blood test on Monday morning. Take Monday evening dose levothyroxine as per normal
Monitor My Health (NHS private test service) offer thyroid and vitamin testing, plus cholesterol and HBA1C for £65
