Told I can re-introduce t3

hi all , since my last post I asked dr to write to consultant and ask if I can have t3 again as I’d like to get t3 higher through range and I’ve just had word I can have 5mcg twice a day but instead of 125 and 150 levo alternate days I’ve been told I have to go back to 100 and 125 levo with10mcg t3 per day . Question is do you think this will help raise my t3 better than 125/150 alternate days plus 10mcg t3 . I have a feeling I may go back to square 1 . I think we could have at least said 125 every day rather than losing 25mcg a day I would have just lost 25mcg every other ?🤷‍♀️ x any advice gratefully received xx cheers lesley

Presumably you are now working on improving low folate level by taking daily vitamin B complex

What is your vitamin D level now

Hi SlowDragon my vit D was 96 on 16/6/22 (I take colecalciferol 800 ) and my folate 4.9 26/11/24 I’m not taking any b vitamins as yet xx

you need all four vitamins at good levels for good conversion of Ft4 to Ft3

Don't take any B12 before your levels are tested, incase you have deficiency.

1o mcg LT3 equates to about 30 mcg LT4 so you will likely get a higher fT3.
