I live in the US and have been reading many posts regarding levothyroxine, which is a med i take. I have weakness in my bones but not all the time. Around the time I started taking levothyroxine I began to experience Tinnitus, I never linked the two until I started only recently doing some research on side effects. Has anyone else experienced the same? My doctor did not seem too bothered when I mentioned my buzzing in my ear, only to say ' there is no cure'.

Tinnitus/levothyroxine
Tinnitus is a symptom of being hypo.
I have tinnitus but mine started either with dysautonomia or bisoprolol but I was too ill at that time to notice which.
Thank you for your reply. I regularly have full blood work done and all my thyroid levels are always good so my prescribed medication is correct.
As Obsdian has said, it’s not so much that it’s a side effect of taking levothyroxine, more that it’s a side effect of having hypothyroidism.
Which may indicate that you’re on too low a dose of levothyroxine.
