I live in France but I've never tried ordering thyroid hormone from India. Be warned: coming from India might attract the attention of customs and as it is illegal in France to buy prescription medication without a prescription, they might confiscate the goods. It all depends on so many variables but it is a distinct possibility. Whereas something coming from within the EU won't raise their suspicions.

I would also be wary to order medicines from India. Whilst the majority of the products may be legitimate and produced to an acceptable standard, there have been quite a few publications reporting that production standards in India are not always up to scratch. Since Covid-19, the FDA has stepped up their inspections of manufacturing sites and as a result of more regulatory oversight, over a third of the pharmaceutical manufacturing places in India were shut down. The scrutiny was prompted by the deaths of children after a sub-standard Indian cough syrup was supplied....

I would try to source medicines from the EU, America or even Australia if needed....

In trying to gather information about medicines for my thyroid hormone documents, India was a huge problem.

I couldn't find ingredients listed.

Often products looked as if they might be the same as each other, but there were inconsistencies.

Company and brand names are not always as they appear.

Some products are out of production but still listed in many places.

Product information is sometimes, all too often, inconsistent - even within one page!

There almost certainly are good products, at good prices. But identifying them with certainty is a nightmare.
