Ferrtin 13.7 (8 -116)
Iron 18.4 (2.9 - 29.5)

He’s been taking Three Arrows iron fairly consistently for several months with little impact on his ferritin, which is clearly dire
Thanks all

what’s his diet like
Does he eat red meat
Has he been tested for coeliac, thyroid etc
Thank you
His diet is good and he eats red meat but he’s asking for things like steak for dinner and home made beef burgers. His body’s telling him something I suppose
He’ll be seeing his own GP next week but given that there’s been no follow up and the one she spoke to recently said there’s no cause for concern, I’m worried and I wonder what on earth is going so desperately wrong within the NHS that we consistently have badly trained doctors “caring” for us. I know you don’t like to get personal about doctors and can’t comment but I had to get that off my chest
His thyroid and coeliac tests were fine. No FT3 but FT4 was about 60%
Adding VitC may improve absorption of iron...
Vitamin C certainly helps with some forms of iron but I don't think it helps with haem, nor with other forms where the iron atom is not able to react with the ascorbic acid.
Also, the ascorbate forms of vitamin C are unlikely to help significantly.
Try a different iron supplement. Three arrows did not help me at all. Infact my hemoglobin went down. I use Ferrodyn now and within 3 weeks hemoglobin was at 120.
Ferrodyn is sold by nutri advanced and they offer a full money back guarantee if you try it and are not happy. Unlike 3 arrows who told me to check for h Pylori but my gp had already checked this for a cause of my anemia. I've just had another blood test and I'm so happy all iron levels have increased. Only been taking one month. It's much cheaper than 3 arrows too. Good luck 😊
Just one a day... it has been unbelievably quick results. I've struggled with low iron levels for many years but this year my levels were diagnosed as anaemia so I did not want the stomach problems and constipation the prescription iron cause. Researched and found three arrows but my iron levels reduced 🤔and I was suffering stomach aches. Reached out to 3 arrows but they were not really interested saying test for h pylori. I was taking 3 arrows over 3 months. I researched again and found Ferrodyn on Nutri Advanced website and within 3 weeks my iron levels are out of the anemia range with my hemoglobin at 123 😊 but all iron makers are up to normal including hemocrit etc. No side effects from it and no constipation. I'm very happy and will continue taking it. It's so much cheaper than 3 arrows too.
Slightly confused by your mixed messages regarding iron supplements, the only results you have ever posted show you to have high ferritin and previously you had posted this reply...??
(Your haemoglobin result isn't going to improve within 3 weeks usage as red blood cells take 150+ days to regenerate so far more likely the heme had this effect)
The private blood test was from 2022. My gp ran recent blood tests and my ferrin was 63. Not too sure why you are confused! I'm not on here lying about my results. You seem to be accusing me of lying? What I have said is fact. I have had good results with FerroDyn and poor results with 3 arrows. That's it!

About the only bit that can be made out is the H next to red highlighted ferritin results?
Wondered if you were getting confused as you'd previously said three arrows 'works great' 🤷♀️
I thought 3 arrows was working until my blood results showed lower hemoglobin and hemocrit. The stomach problems I thought was food related. I have several allergies but the stomach aches stopped after stopping the 3 arrows.
