Hi all!
This is my third time posting here, and I’ve been really grateful for the help and clarity I’ve received in the past.
For the past few months, I’ve been dealing with very strong and at times debilitating lower back pain. I’ve had X-rays done in the past, which showed that I have osteoarthritis (non-rheumatoid). Normally, I experience episodes of back pain, but the acute phase lasts only a few days. However, for a few months now, it feels like I’m constantly in an acute phase. If I stay bent over for even a few minutes, or even if I spend time tying my shoes, I get stuck, and it takes a long time to straighten up, especially in the morning. So painful.
I’ve had to stop going to the gym regularly, and it’s really affected me. I can’t take long walks anymore, and it’s interfering with my daily life. I have an appointment with a musculoskeletal expert, but of course, the waiting times with the NHS are long.
I’m wondering if my thyroid issues or Carbimazole might have worsened an existing condition. The worsening of my back pain seems to have started around the same time as when I began the medication.
Has anyone experienced muscle or bone pain worsening like this as a symptom or reaction to AT?
Thank you in advance for your support.
