Please help with dosing

I feel that it might be a bit too much medication so I think I should decrease either t4 or t3. Which one would you advice to decrease? Am currently taking 100 t4 and 10t3. I don't have results for this dose but from previous doses87.5+5

Ft3 4.6 (3.5-6.5)

Ft4 15(12-23)

100t4

Ft3 4.8 (3.5-6.5)

Ft4 17(12-23)

Test before changing anything

Only test after being on constant unchanging dose and brand levothyroxine and T3 for minimum of 6-8 weeks

When were vitamin levels last testEd

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

FT4: 15 pmol/l (Range 12 - 23) 27.27%

FT3: 4.6 pmol/l (Range 3.5 - 6.5) 36.67%

FT4: 17 pmol/l (Range 12 - 23) 45.45%

FT3: 4.8 pmol/l (Range 3.5 - 6.5) 43.33%

Taking both sets of results into consideration, plus your doses, it's difficult to believe that the addition of just 5 mcg T3 could make you over-medicated. If it were me, I wouldn't be reducing anything, I'd be increase my T3.

What makes you think you're over-medicated?

Thanks! The results were on 87t4 and 5 t3 and the other set on 100t4 no t3. Do you still think the same? I suspect it because I'm easily irritated.

Yes, as I said, I was taking your previous doses into consideration.

Being easily irritated can also be a symptom of under-medication, so I really wouldn't reduce anything until you get full testing on your latest dose.

Thanks! So since these results

FT4: 17 pmol/l (Range 12 - 23) 45.45%

FT3: 4.8 pmol/l (Range 3.5 - 6.5) 43.33%

I've added 10mcg t3. How much do you think ft3 could have increased by adding these 10mcg

Impossible to say. There's no way of calculating it and there are so many variables. You just have to wait out the six weeks and retest, I'm afraid.
