The NHS Constitution establishes the principles, values, rights, and commitments that support the NHS as a comprehensive health service, available without charge for everyone in need. This consultation contributes to the completion of the 10-year review legislated by the Health Act 2009. Sharing your experiences can make a significant impact.

This is a direct link to the DHSC consultation web page

gov.uk/government/consultat...

(The shortened link in the original post takes you to a page which already has a unique identifier attached. This might not work or might cause problems with the survey.)

Note that this consultation appears to apply to England only.

helvella 'Note that this consultation appears to apply to England only.'

Really? That doesn't fit with this bit, quoted from that linked page:

'The NHS Constitution applies to all those who use its many services, its staff and providers. During this consultation exercise, we want to hear from people across this broad spectrum, '

True, health services in other UK nations are devolved, but it is still the NHS and every single person in the UK is entitled to 'use its many services', so why should this review only apply to England? I don't get it!

It does say Applies to England but I do think that it would be reasonable for anyone to respond. Indeed, it does ask Where do you live in the UK? and allows all four nations or "I live outside the UK".

Which is pretty much par for the course - say one thing but mean something else!

Thank goodness for Thyroid U.K. and this forum. The NHS Consultation got both barrels! like Rapunzel said, Do the NHS really want user views? I think not! I did not hold back!😱

Some of the proposed changes appear OK but some are truly dire. Several should never have seen the light of day, not even for review, in their current form.

I'm frothing at the mouth about this, helvella. My final hissy fit was this:

Without Thyroid UK and Health Unlocked, I would not have known about this. {consultation review} Do the NHS really want users' views? This leads me to believe that it doesn't. Go on, NHS, continue to pat yourselves on the back whilst the population becomes increasingly old, unwell and ill-served.

Freaking livid. I'd love to know how many responses they had from patients.
