Can't get appointments for love nor money when I want something but I was called just now and told Nurse and Dr want to see me about my last Diabetic screen results. (HbA1c 66) I said sure I have things I want to discuss too, not till the 1st July , so will be trying to get seen next week to see if they'll give me back my original dose of 150mcg before I run out, doing what I can with the supplies I have left

This ‘protest’ of being unavailable may just entirely backfire on them (and us of course). Every time I phone I have to listen to a huge spiel of instructions about 999 and 111 and yet they also have the nerve to talk about only being able to get an appointment if it’s an emergency!! What emergency can wait a minimum of two to three weeks and more? It’s ludicrous. No wonder hospital waiting lists are so big. GPs are not working - it would seem.
My surgery used to a have a strange answerphone message, couldn't quite place the accent, I'm in Liverpool , scouse accents range from very strong , with throaty trying to clear mucus tones to softer but still scouse. The old message was more northern but irritating, Now computer generated IA voice does the "appointments are for emergencies only but if you start to have a heart attack , are bleeding out, stop breathing please hang up and dial 999" irritating but how ridiculous. There are now only 3 options, 1 for appointments, 2 presc ription queries, 3 private work. I mean WTF, apparently they employed a pharmacist last year, but no announcement, now employ a PA I believe , I got an appointment last November thought it was a GP, it wasn't but that wasn't made clear .
