Graves and me again :(

Thank you to those who advised to reduce Carbimazole from 5mg to 3.75mg I certainly felt a little better that week, starting to slide again though so I’ve just dropped to 2.5mg daily …. Coz I’m Bloated, tired, a bit tearful (I’m ok though) struggling for motivation yet things are stacking up 😕, hands and feet are a tad tingly but not cold … usual stuff but now my fit bit is saying my RHR has dropped about 10 beats per minute and given me a “out of personal range” notification? I’m not hugely worried as I’m now at 64bpm but now wondering should I be worried?? . I had to cancel my upcoming appt with endo as I couldn’t face it and he’s not responding to anything and I think we’re both struggling to engage so I think that relationship has broken down 😔 although the GP released my script without issue so I don’t think endo has contacted him either … not really sure what I’m asking here as I’ve no scheduled bloods despite asking, no contact with professionals and struggling to make any I guess I’m asking for reassurance?! I dunno 🤷‍♀️ Surely I can’t be dropping through the ranges this fast on so little medication?!

My usual RHR is under 70. Was higher when diagnosed hyper & had no idea then what was normal for me.

At one stage it went to RHR 60 with occasional dips to 52. I let GP know who asked if I felt dizzy ect. I hadn’t so he said not to worry about it. Which I didn’t find very reassuring at the time, but I guess drs don’t get particularly concerned unless you have symptoms & it’s very abnormally low. ie RHR below 60.

I do find heart rate correlates well to thyroid levels, but nothing is fool proof!

I know it’s frustrating when they give little information, but my advice is keep persisting with dr arranging blood tests & chasing up results.

Try & keep your carbimazole dose as steady as possible.
