Excellent BTF Talk on Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs)

The BTF have put this talk on youtube youtube.com/watch?v=WQg9zer... .

This talk is excellent. EDCs are responsible for large scale hormone problems, I feel it is as important as the climate change issue in terms of harm done. The talk is detailed and no doubt very complex for anyone not up on the subject. But you are allowed to watch it more than once!

I suspect many of the residual problems suffered by people who are (mis?)diagnosed with primary hypothyroidism may be due to effects of EDCs leading to issues such as brain fog and ADHD type symptoms.

A crucial point is that many EDCs cause thyroid problems whilst having minimal effect on blood hormone levels. Since current guidelines such as NICE emphasize blood hormone levels these guidelines are effectively banning doctors from investigating and treating the effects of EDCs.

I wish she shared what we could use to rid our body of the EDCs along side any kind continuous removal.

I'm not aware of any strategies they use other than intermittent dieting and sauna. I found I could eliminate PBDEs by taking simeticone.
