Hi. Please can someone advise if its best to stop my Thyroid meds the day before a FBC/Full blood Count test at GP, or just the morning of the test? The test will include TFTs and is set for 9am (which is the earliest they can offer). Not now taking any supplements due of unaffordability, so only Thyroid meds. Many thanks 😊

Late reply now but for FBC (full blood count) you don’t need to worry about timing, fasting & any medications.
It’s only for TFT (thyroid function test). Ideally book draw before 9am (if possible) or close to this time as TSH is highest at this time. Then it drops throughout day.
Taking the last dose of levothyroxine 24 hours before test shows lowest daily FT4. So taking on morning of test shows a high or peak level.

Did you get results back yet?
Many thanks 😊 It was yesterday at 9.30 bc they were running late, ofcourse. I didn't take my meds that morning but I did take everything the day before, and I usually take my last T3 dose at around 4pm. The results will be meaningless anyway, because I have the genetic thyroid fault (DIO2 /1 parent) - and after fighting the NHS for years on this they finally accept it, begrudgingly I.e my results may say 'normal' but they aren't bc its a Cellular level issue with me, which will not show on bloods results. But i must still have the tests. I've no doubt they'll still try it on again in due course & aim to withdraw T3 from me again..... & query everything again bc they're utterly clueless 🙄 😒 All of this has happened following yet another formal complaint made by me in March. They've finally backed down, bc they have no evidence to counter mine. No wonder people on here are so unwell bc of how we are treated, even with the evidence of 'Clinical Need' in black and white and in front of their eyes. Thanks again for replying & take care yourself 😊
