Surprise blood test

My Practice Pharmacist advised me to have TSH restest this month. I don’t know why except I told them I was swapping back to Accord brand (but they tell me it makes no difference, so 🤷‍♀️)

Anyway, I’m going in the morning, observing protocols. Is it really only vit B that can affect serum?

Thanks as ever.

stop any supplements that contain biotin 5-7 days before any blood tests

Testing 6-8 weeks after any dose or brand change

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
