Following my post last week, I am now really struggling with hypo symptoms which I think is more to do with reduction of the levo than addition of T3.
I didn’t want to rush adding extra T3, have now been on 2.5 T3 for 8 days with levo (87.5x3 & 100x4 days) as I react so badly to changes, do you think it would help to now add 2.5 T3 in the afternoon or do I need to wait longer for levo adjustment to settle?
I feel awful, plus very low mood now too - any advice would be so much appreciated.
Thank you 😊

Hello, thank you so much for thinking of me. This forum is full of amazing people.
I felt instantly calmer after I took the second dose, and have stayed fairly steady since, mood is better, head feels clearer, energy improving. Today I did feel like I couldn’t wait for the second dose as the afternoon approached, like my body was needing more T3?. I hope to stay on my split (4x100/3x87.5) levo dose and the split T3 (2.5/2.5) dose for six weeks then check bloods with my Endo.
I suspect you won’t be able to stay on such low T3 for 6 weeks. It’s normal to increase a few times in small amounts at the start. That feeling of can’t wait means you need it. Hold for 1 week or 10 days and then add another 2.5 to the morning dose. Hold for a week or 10 days and increase the afternoon dose. Depending on how you feel then, you might be able to hold it for the 6 weeks. But don’t starve your body. Like Levo, it takes a while to get right. Depending on how you feel as you go, you can increase to 20mcg a day before you must hold for 6-8 weeks. Before then, experiment by how you feel. Any anxiety or overstimulation, drop back to the previous dose and wait a couple of weeks and try again.
Low and slow is the way. But very low and glacial can backfire. Don’t be afraid of it.
