Hypothyroidism and other health issues

Hi,

Can someone please tell me if people suffering from hypothyroidism can get anxiety and high blood pressure?

All my heart related blood tests are normal but I still don't know why my blood pressure is high all of a sudden?

I have also started getting panic attacks and feel anxious 24/7 for no reason.

Increased anxiety for me signals that my thyroid meds are not optimal or key vitamins (folate, ferritin, B12 or VitD) may need adjusting. Have you had these tested recently? Can you share your most recent thyroid results for members to advise if it’s possible to optimise them?

In my experience- yes to both. Since taking levothyroxine my BP has noticeably improved. I do tend towards anxiety anyway because I have heart arrhythmia but it's worse when my thyroid is out of whack. I tend to be more jittery and reactive. I understand from this forum that there's a very wide range of symptoms we can experience with hypothyroidism. Not everyone will get all of them.
