It might be time to contact the practice manager and tell them that you are not accepting text consultations and insist on seeing a GP in person.

You have been given responses in previous posts that you can use with your GP.

Ok thanks it slipped my mind just a little annoyed he is suggesting my mental health as a cause for my thyroid problem.

'mental health as a cause for my thyroid problem.'

Tell your doc (if you haven't already) that it is actually the other way around. Inappropriate levels of thyroid hormone cause mental health problems. The brain needs the right amount and types of thyroid hormones to function normally. When thyroid hormone levels are not appropriate, symptoms can range from mild depression, anxiety, poor memory to suicidal voices in head etc. etc.

This has been known since around 1949 when Richard Asher wrote his famous paper entitled Myxoedematous Madness. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

might be worth printing off that paper referenced by RedApple and having it ready next time doctor comes out with that utter nonsense.
