Hi, I've recently increased from 50mcg to 75mcg. I was using Accord tablets, simply breaking 1 in half. About a month ago I was given 25mcg Teva tablets alongside 50mcg Accord. I feel like I'm going backwards, tiredness is increasing etc. Has anyone else experienced this?I will be approaching my GP to see if I can go solely on Accord.
Thanks for any input 🙂

it could be your body is getting ready for next dose increase
How long have you been on 75mcg
This is only one step up from starter dose
Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose increase
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Likely ready to increase to 100mcg
But in the (very unlikely) event that your blood test doesn’t yet show you need next dose increase ….request extra Accord 50mcg instead and cut in half to make up to 75mcg
ConverseSiren, it isn't a good idea to mix brands and a lot of people do not get on with Teva. Ask for Accord 50mcgm and cut tablets in half as you were doing to get 75mcgm. One of the fillers in Teva is acacia powder, caused me dreadful stomach upsets.
