Good morning all.
My son is struggling with his health, through his pregnancy was when my Hashimoto’s Symptoms began.
Due to the lack of understanding from the NHS, I Struggle to manage my own symptoms, What can I do for him?
My own specialist won’t treat him because he’s a minor, What other options are out there please?
Thank you

First step is to get him FULL thyroid, including thyroid antibodies, vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 levels tested
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
is he currently taking any vitamin supplements
Blue horizon will test under 18’s

If he is a minor and your endo won't treat him then look for a paediatric endocrinologist?
