small thyroid

I have just had an ultrasound of my neck and was told my thyroid gland is small. What is the significance of this? Does anyone know?

Presumably it’s Ord’s thyroiditis

But you need full thyroid and vitamin testing

You are currently not on high enough dose Levo if still only on 75mcg

Thank you. My dose has been adjusted to 75 and 100 on alternate days. I intend to do a private test soon.

Are both doses same brand of levothyroxine

Yes they are currently but they won’t guarantee this will always be the case. I have asked and have been told it is out of their control

Sadly…..This is perennial issue for thousands of uk patients

Despite guidelines saying we are entitled to get same brand at each prescription

It seems to be the same with other medications too. I expect it is financial
